Specialist Referrals/Admissions to Hospital

Discussions with specialists are done only when indicated after an assessment by one of our doctors. This is to ensure patients are not inappropriately referred to specialists & to ensure patients don’t waste time/money seeing a specialist for a condition that can be safely & effectively managed by an emergency doctor or general practitioner. Successful referrals are based only on acceptance by the specialist - this is beyond the control of any doctor at any facility.
